Why a streaming title disappears when you change country
A friend sends you a film recommendation. You use the same streaming service, but searching for it gets you nowhere. Before changing your subscription, check which country their recommendation came from.
There are three separate questions here: where you are watching, what language you want, and what your plan includes. Changing one does not automatically change the others.
An English interface is not a US catalogue
Netflix explains that regional rights can keep a title out of one country's catalogue while it appears in another. A service name alone therefore cannot tell you whether a film is available where you live.
For example, an English-speaking viewer in Germany needs German streaming offers. A German-speaking viewer in France needs French offers. In Picknado, the language selector changes the interface; the streaming-country selector chooses the catalogue. A country selection is a search setting, not a way to unlock another country's films.

A provider link is a place to check
Open the offer and look at the access type. Included in a subscription, free to watch, available to rent and available to buy are different things. Seeing the provider's logo does not mean your existing subscription pays for that title.
Picknado uses cached availability records rather than querying your personal streaming account. A listing can change between the catalogue refresh and your visit. The provider's current title page is the final check before you commit to an evening.
Audio and subtitles need their own check
An interface translated into French does not promise a French soundtrack. Open the provider's audio and subtitle choices for the actual title and season. Do this before inviting someone who depends on a particular language.
For a remote movie night, each household should check its own country and offer. One working link in one household is not evidence that everybody else can play the same film.

A quick check before pressing play
Keep the country filter while changing genres or drawing again. Otherwise a broader search can become a list of attractive suggestions you still cannot watch. Three playable options are more useful than thirty uncertain ones.
- Set the country where you will watch, even if the interface uses a different language.
- Open the title's provider link and confirm that your plan includes it.
- Check audio, subtitles and, for a series, the season you want.
- If a title is missing, try another suggestion before paying for a new service.
