A book can fit more than one genre; we assign one main category here. The selection includes well-known novels and classics, not a complete catalogue of new releases.

Discover today gives you the same daily selection for the same genre and excluded books. It changes at midnight UTC. Find three books shuffles again whenever you like. Mark familiar books as already read to hide them in this browser tab. Your selection stays on your device.

We show common English and German titles. Wording can vary by translation, publisher and edition. The catalogue link searches Open Library by title and author. It does not promise a free ebook or availability at your local library. Check the edition, language and format before borrowing or buying.

Choosing with others? Each person can pick one of the three suggestions and explain what they feel like reading. Agree before drawing whether to allow a new selection. Genres are not age ratings: check the particular edition for younger readers. The book illustration is our own design, not an original cover.

Most title metadata comes from Wikidata (CC0) and are supplemented by our own selection. Genre categories are approximate; a translated title does not confirm that an edition is available.
